When a celebrity's likeness is turned into a wax figurine, it usually signifies that he/she has made his/her mark in the field of his/her choice. It is as emphatic a declaration of their star quotient as anything could possibly be.
The tribute is an ode to their brilliant music, creativity, and aesthetic capabilities; something that we acknowldge as having floored whosoever was lucky enough to view or witness them. There are few better ways, then, of preserving their likeness for all posterity.
Check out a few pictures of celebrities who have been immortalized in wax figures, from museums across the world.
