Global technology service giant and India’s second largest IT company Infosys said it would adopt the cloud technology as part of its Infosys 3.0 transformation.

The company has hired 2,000 engineers and is expecting about 60 per cent of the workload to shift to the cloud in the next five years which will generate noteworthy revenues for the company, said a report on ITPro.

The cloud technology has been divided into two categories. The first will deal with the traditional services like consulting and incorporation in the cloud field, and the second being the existing on-demand service which the company is already building.

The company has already started to transfer its existing policies to the cloud and said it will continue with its future policies. Finacle Lite, a cloud version of its popular Finacle banking software, has been launched and is now offering mobile apps platform for the same.

The company said It has entered into a partnership with Amazon Web Services in its cloud offering.
