Ivanka Trump has gained followers and haters alike since she started serving as a Senior Advisor to the President two years ago. Aside from being one of the female faces of the current administration, Ivanka was included in Forbes’ “World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” and Time’s 100 Most Influential list in 2017. Despite her endless efforts in improving education and promoting the economic empowerment of women and their families, the mom of three is still being criticized for several things, which include her fashion choices and qualifications.

Recently, Ivanka shared about the passage of the FUTURE Act in the U.S. House of Representatives on her official Twitter account. For starters, Senators Lamar Alexander and Patty Murray introduced some amendments to fund historically black colleges and universities, including other minority-serving institutions, permanently. The legislation also aims to eliminate paperwork for income-driven loan repayment plans and simply the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

“Great work! Incredible news for HBCUs, minority-serving institutions and students across the country! #FUTUREAct,” Ivanka Trump posted on Wednesday. As per usual, critics of the first daughter were quick to sound off their thoughts about her tweet. Some netizen accused Ivanka of taking credit for Alexander and Murray’s work.

“They don’t work for you. Love how you manage to put yourself in the middle of everything, yet do nothing. When is the next photo op?” one netizen wrote. “Purloining credit despite no experience or qualifications,” Anthe Rhodes-Liuzzo stated. “Why are you there?” Jason Cranford Teague said.

There are also those who raised concerns about the immigrant children and teens held in U.S. detention centers along the southern border. “That’s great, #GrifterBarbie. But as for the #KidsInCages, I guess it’s okay with you if they die on the floor. #TrumpCrimeFamilyMustGo,” Lisa Canfield responded to Ivan Trump’s tweet. “How about those brown kids in cages, any shout out to them?” Steve Seaton commented. “Do the children you and your daddy keep in cages get to go to school?” another netizen stated.

Meanwhile, Ivanka said that she remains focused on advancing the White House agenda after the House Democrats announced its plan to bring articles of impeachments against President Donald Trump. The first daughter even called the move “a predetermined outcome.”

“We focus on that which we can control. This was a predetermined outcome for the Democrats. What we can control is the work we’re doing to advance the American peoples’ agenda, creating jobs, creating a climate for growth, and that’s where our energies are focused,” Ivanka Trump told McClatchy Washington Bureau in an interview. “So, I can only speak to our priorities. But I think the Democrats’ priorities are quite clear,” she continued.
