On Friday, Jamie Lee Curtis took to Twitter to announce that two additions to the "Halloween" franchise are coming. The films come on the heels of 2018's installment, which followed Laurie Strode (Curtis) as she navigated life 40 years after facing off against Michael Myers. Fortunately for fans of the horror series, fans can expect to see the new films sooner rather than later.

As stated in the video, "the saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode isn't over." And thanks to a tweet from Curtis herself, we now know a bit more about what to expect about the movie premieres. According to her post, the first film, "Halloween Kills," will open Oct. 16, 2020, followed by "Halloween Ends," which has a planned release date of Oct. 15, 2021.

The 24-second clip also gave a look into some of the stylistic choices of the new movies as we see Strodes' house from the previous film on fire and another shot of Curtis holding a gun. Aside from brief flashes in the teaser, details regarding the plot and direction of the storyline remain unknown.

The announcement clip in its entirety can be viewed below.
