  • Jazz Jennings has “sadness” in her eyes, according to some fans
  • The reality star recently received a lot of negative comments about her weight
  • Many fans defended Jazz from the body-shaming comments online

Jazz Jennings shared a perky photo with her older sister Ari Jennings on social media, but some of her fans think she looked quite sad in it.

The “I Am Jazz” star, 20, uploaded a snap on Instagram Thursday showing her and her 25-year-old sibling smiling to the camera. The post suggested Jazz and Ari bonded that day at the Washington Monument as the former captioned the post, “Sisters in the sun,” along with a smiling sun emoji.

However, instead of radiating joyful energy, some fans felt that she was feeling the opposite based on the look in her eyes. A number took to the comments section to share their observation and their sentiments about the snap.

“I really see the sadness in Jazz’s eyes. She is not happy. I really wish her the best,” one concerned fan wrote.

Another user chimed in claiming that Jazz allegedly wanted to make people feel that she’s happy after having her “sex change surgery” when she’s really not. The same user suggested that the reality star is now going through a “depressed life,” and it does not help that she’s gained a lot of weight.

Other fans agreed with the speculations about what Jazz is going through, but one netizen digressed and opined that even though there really seems to be sadness there, it’s unlikely for it to be caused by gender identity issues. The netizen suggested that Jazz may be experiencing other struggles.

Jazz’s post with her sister comes just a day after she uploaded a full-body photo of herself while promoting her “favorite skincare company,” Bubble. The post attracted a lot of attention online, with some analyzing her weight in the post.

“Omg, she is so heavy. What happened?” one asked. “What happened to her weight? My goodness. [I] didn’t see her in many years and [she’s] gained so much weight?” another netizen wrote.

A number of fans came to Jazz’s defense after seeing all the negative comments about her weight on the post. Many of them pointed out that Jazz herself has admitted that she’s struggling with binge-eating disorder.

“To everyone commenting on her weight, binge eating disorder is AN EATING DISORDER! It is a psychological disorder. The more you dislike your body, the more you binge,” one fan explained.

“The more comments you get, the worse you feel, and the more you binge. As someone who struggles with binge eating, the more emotional/insecure/upset I am, the more I binge. If you don’t have anything nice to say, please just don’t say anything at all.”

In June, Jazz opened up about her disorder while addressing the “substantial amount of weight” she had gained in the last few years. She said at the time that she’s holding herself “accountable” as she’s eager to “create positive changes when it comes to my health and body.”
