Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s failed marriage was blamed on Angelina Jolie and the fact that the couple didn’t have children.

But even before Jolie came into the picture and rumors about the couple’s baby-making plans surfaced, Aniston already hinted that there was trouble in paradise.

During her interview with W Magazine in 2003, the “Friends” star was asked if her then-husband was the love of her life, and Aniston gave a shocking response.

“Is he the love of my life? I think you’re always sort of wondering, ‘are you the love of my life?’ I mean, I don’t know, I’ve never been someone who says, ‘he’s the love of my life,’” she said.

Aniston went on to say that Pitt is a “big love” in her life, and they share something special amid the chaos. The “Morning Show” star added that in their wonderful but hard industry, it’s nice to have someone who’s anchored and really knows all of you.

Two years later, Aniston and Pitt announced their divorce. And during Jolie’s interview with Vogue, the actress admitted to developing feelings for Pitt while they were filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”

“Because of the film we ended up being brought together to do all these crazy things, and I think we found this strange friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened. I think a few months in I realized, ‘God, I can’t wait to get to work,’” she said.

However, Pitt and Jolie’s marriage also ended in divorce. At present, Pitt and Jolie are co-parenting their children. And the “Ad Astra” star has become friends with Aniston.

Two years ago, InTouch Weekly claimed that the “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” star apologized to Aniston for dating Jolie while they were still married. The tabloid claimed that Aniston was moved to tears during their conversation.

However, this claim should be taken with a grain of salt. At the end of the day, the most important thing is Pitt and Aniston have patched things up.
