John Cena joked about why Marvel's newly dropped "Thor: Love and Thunder" trailer became the fourth-most viewed trailer within 24 hours of its release.

The 44-year-old actor and former professional wrestler, who featured in DC Comics' "Peacemaker" TV series, took to Twitter on Wednesday to share an article that celebrated the reach of the latest "Thor" installment trailer, and noted the reason behind it is the "chrome helmet."

"This might just be because of that slick looking chrome helmet and maybe enthusiasts getting excited for a @Marvel @DCComics crossover chrome helmet showdown??" Cena jokingly wrote.

James Gunn, who directed the "Peacemaker" TV series, praised Cena for being "observant" in the comments section.

"True, true. Very observant, John," he commented.

Fans also took to the comments section to discuss the DC and Marvel crossover.

"I am so ready for a crossover! Chrome dome showdown!" a fan wrote alongside sharing Marvel and DC Comics characters in one poster. "Don't think it would ever happen because neither company would want their main characters losing a battle to the other company," another fan replied.

One of the fans edited the helmet worn by actress Natalie Portman, who played Jane Foster in the upcoming movie. Gunn retweeted the photo and wrote, "Wait..."

"Peacemaker" was dropped on Jan. 13 starring Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Nhut Le, Freddie Stroma, Alison Araya, Robert Patrick and Annie Chang.

"Thor: Love and Thunder," on the other hand, is slated to release on July 8. The movie will star Chris Hemsworth, Taika Waititi, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale and Chris Pratt. The flick is helmed by director Waititi.

This is not the first time that DC and Marvel team members have commented on each other's work. Previously, Marvel TV series, "Moon Knight" director Mohamed Diab slammed a scene from DC's "Wonder Woman 1984" where the title character, played by Gal Gadot, was shown in Egypt.

"It dehumanizes us," the 44-year-old director said. "We are always naked, we are always sexy, we are always bad, we are always over the top. You never see Cairo. You always see Jordan shot for Cairo, Morocco shot for Cairo, sometimes Spain shot for Cairo. This really angers us."
