Juelz Santana and girlfriend Kimbella Vanderhee did not take kindly to the rapper being called a deadbeat dad. The “Love and Hip Hop” stars shared messages on Twitter and Instagram Monday to react to a story claiming the music artist owed child support.

Santana allegedly owes the mother of his 13-year-old son LaRon Jr. almost $30,000 in child support, and an arrest warrant has been issued, TMZ reported. In 2013, the rapper was initially told to pay $1,800 a month in child support. However, New Jersey authorities are claiming he now owes $28,491.32.

The rapper went on Twitter and insisted that he is “a great dad” and alluded that there is more to the child support story than what was initially reported.

Meanwhile, his girlfriend had a few words to say following the reports of missed child support payments. Kimbella posted a photo of herself, Santana, their two children and his 13-year-old son. “Try to knock us down but you will never prevail! Our strength, unity & bond will never let that happen,” she wrote.

“We are a FAMILY that prays together so we stay together! I love all of you so much!!” she added. The Instagram model also asked followers to tune into “Love and Hip Hop: New York” on Monday night, which will be an extended two-hour episode.

Santana, who is known for his musical affiliation with the hip hop group The Diplomats (also known as Dipset), and Kimbella have discussed their relationship issues on the VH1 reality show. Although they have had troubles in the past, it looks like Kimbella will be sticking by her boyfriend’s side as he deals with his child support case.
