“Jurassic World” actor Chris Pratt worked as an amateur stripper before making his foray into the world of entertainment. The actor said he was struggling, working hard for his money and did not mind becoming a "cheap Magic Mike" to earn a living.

Pratt dropped out of college in his first year and became a discount ticket agent. At one point, he lived in a dilapidated van on the beach in Maui and spent his time drinking and smoking marijuana. Pratt earned his money doing casual waiting jobs, he told Red Bulletin in an exclusive interview.

The Minnesota-born actor was not afraid to get naked. He stripped down for US$40 per performance and even performed at a friend’s grandmother’s birthday once. In an interview, the actor confessed that he enjoyed getting naked and did not mind getting paid for it. The actor even said that he went for an audition for a stage club but was not given the job because his dancing skills were subpar.

He had been interested in acting since childhood. "When I was in pre-school, I saw my brother, who is three years older than me, performing in a school play," said Pratt to the publication. "My mother was moved to tears by his performance and I thought to myself, ‘I can do that too'."

Luck found him when he was spotted by Rae Dawn Chong, an actress who starred in the Arnold Schwarzenegger action flick “Commando.” While serving Chong, Pratt impressed the actress with his wit and “good-natured charm.” She offered him a role in “Cursed Part 3,” a comedy horror film that she was directing, and he left for Los Angeles.

However, Pratt's success did not come overnight. He was rejected for several roles, including one in “Avatar.” He told the publication that he was tried for almost every movie but failed. But his hard work and perseverance paid off. Today he has come a long way from his unsuccessful past and the actor is now gearing up for the Friday release of “Jurassic World.” According to Deadline, the movie is expected to rake in US$400 million in earnings.
