Joey Fatone has opened up about his former band 'NSync, revealing that he would be open to making a new album with his ex-bandmates.

While promoting his series "Common Knowledge," the 44-year-old singer said it would be "fun" to reunite with fellow 'NSync members Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick and do another album with them two decades after the group disbanded.

"I can’t speak for anybody else, but for me, it would be fun. Why not? I mean, let’s be real here. It wasn’t broke," Fatone told Us Weekly. "Everybody kind of separated to do their own thing and now we’ve done our own thing and still doing our own thing, but you know what, I think it’d be kind of fun to do something like that and get back together."

Fatone went on to say that they're at a point in their lives where awards and charts are not so important, and he would only enjoy bonding with his ex-bandmates, whom he considers his brothers.

"What harm is it going to happen? Oh my God, we don’t get No. 1 on the charts. Oh, darn. We’ve done that already. It’s OK. For me, it would be more or less performing and having fun with my brothers," he continued.

According to Fatone, while they've spent time together since disbanding in 2002, the last time all five of them reunited was in 2018 for their Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

"It was MTV, then the star on the Walk of Fame and then we did Coachella. I’m trying to think chronologically what it was," he recalled. "The star on the Walk of Fame was the last time I think all five of us were actually together."

In 2013, they reunited for Timberlake's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award set at the MTV Video Music Awards. They also took the stage as a group, sans Timberlake, in 2019 when they performed with Ariana Grande at the music festival.

Bass said last year that he was willing to do a reunion with the other 'NSync members. He believed that getting back together would have been perfect to mark the 20th anniversary of their album "No Strings Attached," which was released on March 21, 2000.

"We’ve been talking about it," Bass told Variety in March 2020. "No plans have been made. If there will even be plans, who knows? … I think if we did anything, it would be for the fun of it — the world needs something fun to listen to and I think we could bring some positivity to it. That’s what we need right now. It could be something simple to test it out, and if it works, it works and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t."

'NSync released four studio albums, 18 singles and sold over 70 million records between 1995 and 2002. They also completed five nationwide concert tours.
