Prince William and Kate Middleton barely acknowledged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their Commonwealth service reunion.

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reunited with the members of the royal family in a public engagement for the first time after they announced their decision to step back as senior members of the royal family. Prince Harry and Markle were seen with Prince William and Middleton, but their interaction at the event was “awkward.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Westminster Abbey shortly after the Sussexes did. Prince Harry and Markle smiled and greeted the future king and queen, who greeted Sophie, Countess of Sussex and Prince Edward before acknowledging the Sussexes.

Prince Harry was seen saying “hello” while Markle was seen mouthing “hi” as she gave them a wave and then followed it with a “hello.” The Cambridges briefly acknowledged them before taking their seats, Us Weekly reported. However, their interaction didn’t sit well with royal fans.

According to spectators, the Cambridges were very cold toward the Sussexes that they barely acknowledged them. Some even accused them of ignoring and snubbing Prince Harry and Markle.

“Kate and William should be ashamed of themselves making the situation worser.Being the next future king both him and Kate should have at least be cordial too both his brother and sister-in-law,but instead they both (Kate,William)seem too give a COLD SHOULDER,” one wrote on Twitter.

Daily Mail also compiled various reactions from social media users and many felt that the Cambridges were cold to the Sussexes.

“Okay, even I have got to admit that looks cold. They better had a meetup before so that this was only their second greeting during the day, because that's no way to greet a brother when you first see them,” one commented.

“OMG look at this! That looks like a blatant snub by William and Kate,” one wrote.

“I'm sad about this...didn't acknowledge each other,” a different user opined.

In related news, a source said that the Queen was hoping Prince Harry and Prince William would put on a united front in their joint engagement. Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s sons were rumored to have had a falling-out and it worsened when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex renounced their titles without telling the senior members of the royal family ahead of time.
