Kate Middleton is ready for her role as the future queen.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been a member of the royal family for over eight years already. Although many felt that she works less compared to her sister-in-law Meghan Markle, Middleton has actually showed a lot of improvement.

According to People, Middleton is cementing her role as the future queen. The duchess has changed and many observed her growing confidence.

“She is now more open with what she wants to say, and funnily enough, she is more relaxed as well,” a family friend told the publication.

In addition, several sources told the publication that Middleton has found her passion and purpose in helping mothers and children everywhere. A well-placed palace source said that Middleton “is finding her voice.”

Middleton is committed to learning about early childhood. She attended many meetings about this, with some lasting three hours long. According to Kate Stanley, director of strategy at the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, a prominent charity in the U.K., the duchess didn’t just join them, but she stayed for the whole meeting and she showed deep curiosity in understanding the issues.

On Tuesday, Middleton visited the “Back To Nature” festival in Woking, Surrey. She delivered a speech during the visit that amazed royal correspondent Emily Andrews.

“I was really struck by how much more confident Kate is at public speaking. Today’s engagement was very her, and she was in her relaxed element, but I remember when her elocution lessons left her with strangled vowels & v nervous delivery. Lovely job today,” Andrews wrote on Twitter while praising Middleton.

Earlier this year, a number of netizens said that they were disappointed with the Duchess of Cambridge because for them she has not improved eight years after joining the royal family. One said that Middleton was not on the level she expected her to be and seemed to be stuck at year one.

Meanwhile, others criticized Middleton for being lazy. One royal follower wrote on Quora that Middleton was disliked for her laziness and for being entitled and spoiled.
