Kate Middleton just stepped out in public for her new royal engagement in London. And eagle-eyed fans are disappointed to know that she’s not pregnant with her fourth child.

During her visit to the Natural History Museum, royal fans noticed that the Duchess of Cambridge once again dyed her hair to a lighter blonde shade. Weeks ago, Middleton’s hair color was much darker. But during that time, royal fans were convinced that she’s pregnant because she usually changes her hairstyle and hair color before making an announcement.

But this week, Middleton’s new hair color confirmed that she’s not expecting. If Prince William’s wife was pregnant weeks ago, changing her hairstyle now could be dangerous to her baby. However, this may also be a misconception.

While speaking with the Huffington Post, Dr. Angela Lamb, director of the Westside Mount Sinai Dermatology Faculty Practice, said that dyeing the hair is not necessarily bad for pregnant women and their unborn child. But this is only if the pregnant woman has been dyeing her hair regularly even before her pregnancy.

“It just does not stay in contact with your skin long enough to absorb into the bloodstream in a way that is harmful to a growing fetus. My vote is that hair dye is completely fine,” she said.

Dr. Jennifer McGregor, a certified dermatologist, said that dyeing the hair is only bad if the pregnant woman has an open wound on her head. But Dr. Cynthia Gyamfi-Bannerman said that some conservative women prefer to wait until after their first trimester to dye their hair.

It is unlikely that Middleton is past her first trimester considering the fact that she doesn’t have a growing baby bump. During this week’s outing, the mom of three wore a stylish outfit that accentuated her slender waist.

But by the looks of it, it’s only a matter of time before Prince William and Middleton have another baby.
