Katy Perry’s latest social media post is worrying fans. There are speculations that the “Dark Horse” singer could be battling depression, with some claiming that she got anxious and melancholic following her split from “Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” actor Orlando Bloom.

On Wednesday, Perry took to Instagram to share a photo of her in the fetal position while wearing a black dress and black shoes. The singer stated in the caption that the position speaks of her current mood. Since the position is typically associated with anxiety, loneliness and depression, many of Perry’s fans quickly expressed their concern for the Hollywood artist.

“You look depressed. What’s wrong Katy? Is this mid-life crisis?” a fan asked. “I really like your new tomboy look, but is this a sign that you are struggling with depression. I am now worried. I hope everything’s alright,” another fan commented.

One fan speculated that Perry’s been having a hard time since her split from Bloom. “She seems sad since she and Orlando broke up,” a fan stated. Others also pointed out how the tables have turned, and she’s the one close to having a meltdown when she had previously dissed Britney Spears for shaving her head. “You are getting dangerously close to the Britney Spears meltdown look,” one commented.

Early this week, Perry surprised everyone when she chopped her short hair into a pixie cut. The hairstyle change came after actor Ryan Philippe denied rumors that he and Perry are going out after the latter’s breakup with Bloom. The “Cruel Intentions” actor took to social media to tell the paparazzi to stop flying helicopters over his house because he is not getting chummy with Perry, whom he barely knows at all.

Meanwhile, following their split, Bloom opted to spend time with his son Flynn Christopher. Miranda Kerr’s ex-husband and baby daddy even proudly documented his moments with the 6-year-old on social media. He’s also gone vacationing in St. Barts with his friends, including Australian model Kristy Hinze and her billionaire husband Jim Clark.
