It’s been nearly three years since Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” was released to much fanfare about just who she was referring to in the song. Now, Katy Perry, who is often speculated to be that very person, is responding to rumors she would consider dissing Swift with a new track of her own on her upcoming album.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Perry discussed her new album, the first one that either she or Swift is putting out since Swift’s “1989,” which featured the track in question. When asked if she would include a similar track on her new album, Perry said it wouldn’t, because the new as-of-yet untitled work isn’t even about her personally.

“That’s not my question to answer—if it’s about me,” she said. “I think [my new album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person.”

“One thing to note is: You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that’s not to any one person and don’t quote me that it is, because it’s not,” she continued. “It’s not about that. Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story. But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don’t forget about that, okay, honey. We got to keep it real, honey. This record is not about anyone else! This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else! It’s not even about me! It’s about everything that I see out there that I digest. I think there’s a healing in it for me and vulnerability. If people want to connect and be healed and feel vulnerable and feel empowered and strong, God bless and here it is.”

Swift, who has become famous for her often taking on her enemies and ex-boyfriends in her songs, never explicitly stated that the song was about Perry, simply telling Rolling Stone back in 2014 that the song was about another female singer who she felt had wronged her.

“She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour,” Swift said at the time about her “Bad Blood” subject. “She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

Since then, there have been several moments that have been seen as subtle digs at one another since, including Swift using props during a Massachusetts concert in 2015 which seemed to take aim at a dancer from Perry’s Super Bowl Halftime Show that same year.

That came just days after Perry seemed to shade Swift on Twitter when she briefly got into it with Nicki Minaj over MTV VMA nominations, where Minaj commented on video of the year nominees, which Swift responded by telling Minaj she always supported her and didn’t understand the attack.

“I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot,” Swift said at the time.

“Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…” Perry responded.

Of course, while Perry doesn’t seem interested in creating a response song to Swift’s diss, some of her exes who she has targeted either through her songs have done so. After discussing how her relationship with Joe Jonas ended in the song “Forever & Always” and dissing his then-girlfriend Camilla Belle in “Better Than Revenge,” from her albums “Fearless” and “Speak Now,” Jonas hit back in a Jonas Brothers song “Much Better,” referencing Swift’s breakout hit song “Teardrops on My Guitar” in the lyrics. Similarly, One Direction’s song “Perfect” is also rumored to be about Swift (who briefly dated Harry Styles), as is John Mayer’s “Paper Doll.”
