Kabane Kusaka moves beyond the life in the village and joins Kohachi Inugami’s Strangeness Counselling Office in Tokyo in "Kemono Jihen" Episode 2. The second episode is called "The Kemono House."

The official website released the spoiler stills and synopsis for "Kemono Jihen" Episode 2. According to the synopsis, Kabane meets Shiki and Akira, who possess similar abilities as the former.

In the second installment, Kabane will learn more about how the Strangeness Counselling Office works. He will work with Akira and Shiki and learn more about the way things happen in the big city.

In the pilot episode, Inugami is called to a remote mountain village to investigate a strange phenomenon involving rotten animal corpses.

Inugami meets the hostess of Kanoko Villa, Kusaka, and she tells him about the weird incidents happening in the village. Later, he sees a boy working on the fields and asks Kusaka about him.

The young boy is nicknamed Dorotabo and nobody wants to be close to him because he emits a bad odor. Meanwhile, another kid named Yataro is excited to meet Inugami as he wants to go to Tokyo.

In the episode, Inugami insists on working with Dorotabo and a jealous Yataro attacks him. Things go south when Yataro snatches Dorotabo’s lifestone from his neck and the latter starts to transform into a monster.

Yataro runs to save his life. Elsewhere, Inugami finds Dorotabo hiding inside what appears to be a barn. Inugami reveals that like him he, too, is not human. Both Inugami and Dorotabo possess magical powers.

“Special detective Kohachi Inugami is sent to investigate a grisly phenomenon involving animal corpses near a remote mountain village. But after meeting a strange boy who agrees to help, he discovers cursed supernatural forces at work. Little by little, Inugami uncovers the truth behind the killings and the boy who may not even be human,” the official series synopsis read, Funimation reported.

Fans can watch "Kemono Jihen" Episode 2 on Funimation and AnimeLab (for viewers in Australia and New Zealand). The second installment is scheduled to air Sunday, 8 a.m. ET.

The cast of the anime includes Ayumu Murase as Akira, Junichi Suwabe as Kohachi Inugami, Natsuki Hanae as Shiki Tademaru, Daisuke Ono as Mihai, Natsumi Fujiwara as Kabane Kusaka, Kana Hanazawa as Inari, Hiro Shimono as Nobimaru and Yumiri Hanamori as Kon.
