Lady Gaga’s love for makeup started at a very young age. In a recent interview, the singer opened up about how inspiring it was for her as a kid to watch her mother get ready every morning, and she wants to pass on that same inspiration to her children someday.

While most people associate makeup with beauty, Gaga associates it with strength and inspiration. In an interview with Allure, the singer admitted that she never felt beautiful as a child and there are days even now that she does not feel beautiful. It was makeup that changed her life, and she still uses it to feel strong.

Gaga was apparently bullied when she was young, and sometimes those memories tend to bring her down even today. The singer said that her attitude changes when she puts on her makeup. This simple act makes her feel like a “superhero” on the inside. The singer added that makeup gives her “winds to fly.”

The person who helped Gaga discover the power of makeup was her mom. The singer said that as a little girl she was “fascinated” by her mom’s morning makeup routine. Every morning when she woke up, she would see her mother putting on her makeup to get ready for work, and this left a lasting impression on the singer.

“She would look so, so beautiful, and so strong,” Gaga said about her mom. The singer added that he mother had “such a bravery about her” that it was inspiring. Growing up she realized that there are different ways for a person to become brave, and one of them was through makeup.

“I really hope that when I have maybe a little girl one day, or a little boy, and they see mommy put her makeup on, that they have the same experience that I did,” Gaga said.

Gaga is currently promoting her Haus Laboratories beauty brand. She recently launched a set of new products under this brand that will be available exclusively on Amazon and teased the different shades on offer for different skin tones. The singer also took part in a photo shoot recently to promote her brand.
