Singer Lana Del Rey denied rumors that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West paid her $2.8 million for performing a three-song set at their pre-wedding party on May 23 at the Palace of Versailles in France.

Del Rey, who had previously turned down West’s request to perform Kardashian’s favorite track “Young and Beautiful” when the rapper proposed to the reality star at AT&T Park in San Francisco in October 2013, revealed during an encounter with a TMZ cameraman at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday that she was not paid anything for singing at Kimye’s wedding as she chose to do it for free.

"I'd do it for free just like I did this one," Del Rey reportedly told the cameraman when asked how much he needs to pay her to make her sing at his wedding. "I would never let a friend pay me to sing at a wedding," she added.

Last summer, Kardashian had openly declared that she was a big fan of Del Rey. The reality TV star wrote on her Twitter account at the time: “I can't get this Lana Del Rey song out of my head! #youngandbeautiful.”

Kardashian married the 36-year-old West on Saturday at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy. The couple, who had earlier planned to tie the knot at the Palace of Versailles, was denied permission for the ceremony by officials at the Louis XIV estate. Instead, they decided to have a pre-wedding event for their guests at the iconic location.

According to media reports, the newly married couple is celebrating the honeymoon in Ireland.
