  • Others complimented Shannon for looking beautiful in the snaps she uploaded

Fans were not pleased when Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon posted an update on social media about her weight loss journey with a product she’s been promoting online.

The 22-year-old “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum took to Instagram Friday to upload a side-by-side comparison of her body before the weight loss challenge she did with Boombod weight loss shot drink and after. In the caption, she claimed she’s noticed a difference after using the product.

“Been using @boombod for a while now and I’ve really noticed a difference. The biggest thing for me is snacking before bed and these shots (especially the night one) do a great job at keeping cravings down and it gives me an extra little boost of motivation,” she wrote.

Unfortunately for the TLC star, fans were not buying her claim. Many called her out for lying just to promote the product. Some even claimed that she strategically used low-quality photos to trick her followers.

“Please stop lying. I get that they are paying you, but we all know you don’t use it and it doesn’t work,” one wrote.

“You look the same, if not bigger,” another added.

“Nice quality pics [burn],” a third user commented.

Meanwhile, other fans felt that the product really worked for Pumpkin. They even complimented her for looking better after the weight loss challenge.

“Keep up the good work, Pumpkin, you can do it,” a fan stated.

“You look beautiful,” a different user wrote.

“Girl, you look great,” another added.

When Pumpkin started promoting the weight loss drink late last month, she received flak because it’s the same product that her mom, June Shannon, 42, has been using and advertising for years, and fans have yet to see the benefits of the drink on the controversial matriarch.

“Please don‘t act like your mom,” one netizen commented on Pumpkin’s post showing her preparing a concoction and taking a sip.

“Oh boo-boo, you know you didn’t lose a bit of weight thanks to that product … I’m surprised someone hasn’t sued them yet for false advertisement,” commented another.

Aside from Mama June and Pumpkin, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, 25, also faced backlash for recommending the weight loss drink to her fans. Some called her out for claiming that she shed extra pounds because of the drink when she had liposuction and other surgeries to lose weight.

Mama June has two other daughters aside from Lauryn and Jessica. However, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, 27, and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 16, have not promoted the same weight loss drink.
