Five “League of Legends” champions will get new mecha skins with Riot's “Mecha Kingdoms” line.

Riot Games will be releasing new mecha skins for five of The Rift's champions in the new “Mecha Kingdoms” line, Dot Esports reported. The new cosmetics line was first revealed in the “Higher” cinematic trailer featuring Jax, who gives a monologue introducing the story behind the skins.

“The great kingdoms warred for generations... ...until the arrival of a new enemy,” Jax said as he stood in front of a huge shadowy figure that appeared on screen.

“To fight back, we were blessed with gifts from the heavens,” the Grandmaster at Arms said. “I, Jax, now stand mountains tall!” He looked over a vast Runeterra landscape while standing on the hand of a huge mecha that looked like him.

At the time, Riot didn't reveal who were the other four champions that will come with Jax in the “Mecha Kingdoms” line. Due to this, fans speculated that characters such as Ornn, Aurelion Sol and the unreleased Sett will be included – the latter more specifically because he is scheduled to arrive a month before the new skin line is released on Jan. 15 next year.

Riot, however, followed up with another trailer revealing the other four champions who will be given new skins. Dexerto noted Draven, the axe-thrower with a thirst for fans; Garen, the Demacian tank who received a new skin less than a year ago; Leona, the only female character included in the “Mecha Kingdoms” line; and Sett, the new character who, unlike the other four, fights with his fists.

But nothing is revealed about the “enemy” Jax mentioned in the “Higher” cinematic. Fans in the “League of Legends” boards speculate that Riot could add more “Kaiju” skins for the Mechas to fight. It could also be that Riot is working on doing something interesting with Baron Nashor, since the figure revealed in the cinematic appears to be a dragon or snake-like creature of sorts.

Fans also speculate that the new “Mecha Kingdoms” skin line indicate that a new PvE mode is coming soon, as fans have been requesting for a new PvE game mode similar to the “Star Guardian Odyssey” event.
