The Legends are going medieval in Season 2, episode 12 of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

The trailer for the episode reveals that the team travels to 507 AD Camelot where Stargirl (Sarah Grey) is guarding a piece of the Spear of Destiny. While protecting the shard of the spear from evil Rip (Arthur Darvill), the Legends meet King Arthur’s (Nils Hognestad) wife Guinevere (Elyse Levesque) who helps the time travelers accomplish their mission.

The episode seems to be a big episode for Ray (Brandon Palmer) who appears to be wielding King Arthur’s legendary sword Excalibur in the preview clip.

Interestingly, 507 AD isn’t the only time period the Legends visit in the episode. According to the synopsis for the episode, the group actually heads to the future — where they reunite with Dr. Mid-Nite (Kwesi Ameyaw) — before traveling to the past.

The episode, which is directed by Antonio Negret from a script written by Anderson MacKenzie, is titled “Camelot/3000.” But executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently said that the installment isn’t an adaptation of Mike W. Barr’s 12-issue comic book series of the same name.

“I will say, just managing expectations, we are not doing our adaptation of ‘Camelot 3000’ by Mike W. Barr,” Guggenheim told IGN last month. “That slash in the title, ‘Camelot/3000,’ is very much there for a reason. I’ll just say it takes place in two time periods — the year 3000, and it takes place in Camelot. I was like, if we have an episode where we happen to be in Camelot and we happen to be in the year 3000 and we don’t call it some variation of ‘Camelot 3000,’ we’re doing something wrong. That’s sort of all I’ll say.”

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2, episode 12 airs on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
