A time-travelling vampire is on the loose in next week’s episode of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

According to the synopsis for Season 3, episode 5 of the CW series, the Legends travel to 1897 London to hunt a time-traveling vampire after Nate (Nick Zano) seemingly finds a pattern to the anachronisms.

In the trailer for the episode, Sara (Caity Lotz) says that they are going to need a vampire bait to catch the blood-sucking supernatural. While majority of the Legends are convinced that there’s a real vampire murdering people in London, Stein (Victor Garber) believes that vampires are nothing but fiction.

The team also runs into Rip (Arthur Darvill) in the episode, but not everyone welcomes him back so quickly, leaving Sara to make a tough choice in the end.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Phil Klemmer said that Rip returns in episode 5 as an unlikely ally. “He can’t resist it,” Klemmer said of Rip’s desire to work with his former crew again. “Yes, he knows the Time Bureau would probably be better off dealing with all these anachronisms, but by the time we get to episode 5, he’s champing at the bit for a little fun. He’s feeling nostalgic for some of the old chaos.”

Darvill teased to Entertainment Weekly last September that Rip starts reaching out to the Legends when he uncovers the underlying mystery running through the season.

“There’s a thing that he discovers, which is very important to him and he feels like, at times, he can sort out on his own, and then also realizes he needs to call on the Legends in order to help him,” Darvill said. “The Time Bureau, as much as they’re brilliant, they do things in too much of an official way in order for, in his opinion, things to actually get done. So his interaction with the Legends, at the moment, is very much as a means to an end for him in terms of what he’s trying to achieve.”

Elsewhere in the next episode, Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) tries to connect with Zari (Tala Ashe), but the new recruit is still struggling with being part of the team. Meanwhile, Stein (Victor Garber) discovers what Ray (Brandon Routh) and Jax (Franz Drameh) are up to and is not entirely pleased.

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 3, episode 5, titled “Return of the Mack,” airs on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW. Watch the trailer for the episode below:
