Chad Daybell will return to court on Monday and Tuesday for a preliminary hearing after the remains of Lori Vallow's children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua "JJ" Vallow, were located on his Idaho property.

Daybell faces felony evidence destruction charges along with charges that allege he took part in a conspiracy to destroy evidence, according to USA Today. The case against Daybell surrounds allegations that he played a role in concealing Tylee's body following her disappearance, lied to police about his relationship with Vallow, and asked a friend not to cooperate with search efforts to find JJ, as stated by a criminal complaint.

While Daybell, who has been described as a "prolific Doomsday author, alleged cult leader and former grave digger," has not officially been charged with the death of either Tylee or JJ, suspicion has continued to follow him over the course of the past year.

After the remains were located in Daybell's backyard during a police search in June, many who knew him prior to being taken into custody spoke about their firsthand experiences with him. Not only did a former neighbor state that he exhibited "strange" behavior after Vallow's children went missing in 2019, but others said that he had also "opened the doors of darkness."

Additionally, Charlene Campbell, who once attended the same church as Daybell, stated that he had been "convinced" that he would not have to face any consequences for Tylee and JJ's disappearances.

As for Vallow herself, other reports have indicated that her 2020 trial will have new rules and restrictions after a judge's recent ruling. At this time, she faces a range of charges, including two counts of conspiracy to commit alteration, destruction or concealment of evidence.

Vallow is expected to return to court on Aug. 10 and 11.
