‘Lucifer’
What will happen to Lucifer (Tom Ellis) now that he's grown back his angel wings in “Lucifer” Season 2, episode 18? FOX

Lucifer” Season 2 recently ended with a major cliffhanger that left fans wondering about what will happen to Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) mom, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), now that she has no memory of everything that has happened to her.

In “The Good, the Bad and the Crispy,” Charlotte forced Lucifer and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) to give her the flaming sword so that all three of them can go to Heaven. However, Charlotte soon found out that Lucifer and Amenadiel had something else planned. The lead character wanted to use the flaming sword to gut through the gates of Heaven and make sure his mom will never return to Earth. Amenadiel, on the other hand, doesn’t want Charlotte to return to Heaven and reunite with God.

Before making a tough decision on what to do with Charlotte, the Goddess first burned and hurt some innocent people. Her powers have become so much stronger, and delaying her return to Heaven meant she could kill even those closest to Lucifer. When the latter found out that Charlotte was with Chloe (Lauren German), Lucifer was worried that his mother will hurt his partner. In order to stop her from doing so, Lucifer decided to give Charlotte the flaming sword.

Unfortunately, the finale of the hit FOX series ended with a huge twist. Charlotte wasn’t able to go through the gates of Heaven. It is possible that it was only Charlotte’s body that was left on Earth, and her spirit was able to return to where she’s supposed to be.

Elsewhere in the episode, Lucifer made the decision to tell Chloe everything about him. He wanted to explain to Chloe the reason why he decided to flee Los Angeles. Lucifer also wanted to tell Chloe about how he’s related to Charlotte, Amenadiel, Maze and even God Johnson. But before he could do so, someone knocked Lucifer out.

When he woke up, Lucifer found himself in what looked like a deserted place. His angel wings have also grown back, and he has a confused look on his face.

“Lucifer” has been renewed by FOX for Season 3, and new episodes are expected to be released sometime in the fall.
