Mackenzie Lueck, a 23-year-old University of Utah student, disappeared on June 17 after arriving at the Salt Lake City International Airport around 1:35 a.m, after returning from a trip to California to attend her grandmother's funeral.

According to The Salt Lake City Tribune, Lueck reportedly texted her parents to let them know that she had safely made it home, got into a Lyft, and has not been heard from since.

"No call, no email, no social media, nothing," Lueck's friend, Kennedy Stoner, said.

The driver of the vehicle stated that they dropped her off in North Salt Lake, which is approximately 20 minutes northwest of where she resides in Salt Lake City.

However, new reports have emerged that the college student was last seen meeting up with an unknown person at a park at 3:00 a.m. According to police, Lueck met up with the individual, was invited into his car, put her bag inside and left.

"Detectives have spoken with the Lyft driver and learned that Mackenzie was met at Hatch Park by an individual in a vehicle," Salt Lake City Assistant Police Chief Tim Doubt told CBS News. Continuing, he said, "The Lyft driver left Mackenzie at the park with that person and stated that Mackenzie did not appear to be in any type of distress."

The police have also posted information on their Twitter account.

A spokesperson for the student's family has revealed that a major component of the investigation is Lueck's use of dating apps. So far, the 23-year-old has missed midterms at the University of Utah, has not had any communication with her friends or family and missed a wedding that she was due to attend. Both Lyft and the driver are said to be cooperating, according to Today.

Police are asking anyone with information to reach out to them at 801-799-4420 or through their Facebook page.
