  • "The Magicians" Seaosn 5, episode 12 will be a musical
  • A preview video has been released online
  • The plot synopsis doesn't reveal much

“The Magicians” Season 5, episode 12 will be the last musical for the show before it ends. Preview videos of the next episode have been released online and they tease the musical to be one of the biggest on the show.

A preview video of the next episode shows all the characters getting into the grove every time they have a feeling. The feeling of the need to dance will be contagious as everyone will be forced to join when one of them starts to dance.

One of the songs they will all dance to is the 70s hit “I Wanna Be Sedated” by Ramones. A sneak peek of the dance has been shared on TV Line. Eliot (Hale Appleman) and Alice (Olivia Taylor Dudley) will start the dance and everyone else will join them later.

The official plot synopsis doesn’t reveal too many details about why all the characters will suddenly start dancing in “The Magicians” Season 5, episode 12. ““Margo sees a purse she hates. Alice writes a letter. We couldn’t get Prince,” the official plot synopsis reads.

However, the fans who have watched the previous episode know what the plot will be about. The magicians will have to break into a hotel to get the World Seed. Alice and Kady (Jade Tailor) have the book that explains how to break into the hotel and get the seed.

The World Seed is needed in order to build a new world for the Fillorians after their world was destroyed. Alice came up with the idea to use the seed for this purpose, and that’s what they will all be doing.

The show’s co-creator John McNamara told Entertainment Weekly that the musical episode is “probably the biggest” they have ever done. The producer also promised the next episode will have “the most intricate plot.”

“The Magicians” Season 5, episode 12 is titled “The Balls.” It will air on March 25 at 10 p.m. EDT on Syfy.
