After the massive success of the first “Star Wars” live action TV series, the team behind the show is reportedly looking to hire new directors for “The Mandalorian” Season 2. Meanwhile, Disney will also be releasing merchandise that is based on the show, which has been one of the biggest demands by the fans.

According to Bespin Bulletin, there is a new rumor about the show that suggests that James Mangold and Robert Rodriguez are being hired to direct some of the episodes in the next season. It isn’t clear if they will helm entire episodes or if they will consult for specific shots, but their addition should give the TV series a huge boost.

Mangold is famous for directing movies like “The Wolverine,” “Logan,” and more recently “Ford v Ferrari.” Previously, there were rumors about him directing a film about the popular bounty hunter Boba Fett. However, that project never materialized at Lucasfilm.

Rodriguez, on the other hand, has worked on projects like “Sin City,” “Machete,” and “Alita: Battle Angel.” His next project that has been announced is “Machete Kills in Space.”

Bryce Dallas Howard will reportedly be returning in the director’s chair in “The Mandalorian” Season 2. The rumor also states that there will be a few “exciting guest stars” on the show this time around.

Meanwhile, Hasbro will be launching a set of toys related to the TV series. One of these toys will be of a Baby Yoda that is being called “The Child,” Making Star Wars reported.

The TV series is trying to push the limits on what they can achieve on a show that has a limited budget when compared to the “Star Wars” movies. ILM works on the visuals of the sets and the company teamed up with Epic Games to come up with some innovative ways to make the show, The Verge reported.

“The Mandalorian” Season 2 is set to air in October.
