Mandy Moore's son, Gus, has received a precious holiday gift from his father, Taylor Goldsmith — a doll from the actress' pop star days.

The 37-year-old actress took to Instagram Stories on Christmas Day to show off a photo of her 10-month-old son playing with a wooden toy next to a doll that looked like her back when she was a teen singing sensation. The doll even had her famous blonde hair and wore a colorful top paired with a pair of red printed pants. The toy, which had Moore's signature on it, also came with accessories, including a bag.

"Also, @taylordawesgoldsmith thought it would be funny to get this for Gus," Mandy captioned her Instagram Story.

The "This Is Us" star later took to her Instagram feed to share two photos and a clip showing her family getting together for Christmas.

"Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Goldsmiths. Also thanks @nonajames for Gus's new fav toy," she noted in the caption, referring to a set of bells as her son's new favorite toys.

A fan shared a screenshot of Moore's Instagram Story and a copy of the actress' family Christmas photo on Twitter, noting, "so cute that taylor gave a mandy moore doll to baby gus." (Text: Google Translate)

Moore has always been vocal about the joys of motherhood and her experiences as a first-time mom.

She openly discussed motherhood during an Instagram Live with Dr. Ashurina Ream, a licensed psychologist and perinatal mental health specialist, in July.

"I had these preconceived notions of myself going into motherhood," the actress shared back then. "Obviously, I knew it was going to be challenging, but I thought, 'Oh, I maybe have this sort of naturally maternal side,' whatever the heck that means. But I guess I just didn't really recognize the worries, the fears, the sense of responsibility that is so ever-present moving forward once you become a mom."

"I guess when I imagined motherhood, I sort of imagined like, oh, you find community… and you go to Mommy-and-Me classes and baby classes," she added at the time.

Moore also reflected on the feelings of inadequacy she had when Gus was just three months old.

"I just felt this rush of like, 'I'm not good enough for him. I don't know how to be his mom. I know how to feed him, but beyond that, am I suited for this?' I just felt so ineffective, and I would look at my husband who just seemed to have a supernatural ability to take care of Gus. Like, he could make him smile," she said further.

"He could make him laugh. He would get on the floor and roll around with him. And I just felt like whatever I did it just wasn't right, and I couldn't get him to sleep, and it made me feel horrible," the actress also said.

Moore gave birth to Gus on Feb. 20. She had announced her son's arrival in a heartfelt Instagram post.
