A murder accused and his wife allegedly sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl at their home and recorded the incident on CCTV cameras, a Miami court heard Thursday.

Nessa Eth, a prosecutor, said Zaidel Rivero and Yaisel Faya-Guinea took the teen to a strip club in February where they had drinks. They then took the girl to their house and sexually assaulted her. They also recorded the crime with their home CCTV cameras. The court heard the trio was acquaintances.

Rivero’s defense attorney said, “There’s no basis for how they obtained the private camera or video footage from inside of a house of the defendant. And the other part was how do they establish that he even know or she even knew the age,” NBC 6 reported.

The incident took place four days before Rivero was taken into custody for second-degree murder charges. Rivero fatally stabbed a man several times before throwing him to the floor of a parking lot. The entire incident was caught on camera.

“The murder case was an attack by that victim at his house when he defended himself and there was video showing one side of the story and I just provided the weapon that the victim used against my client to the officer, the detective,” Rivero’s defense attorney added.

Both Rivero and Faya-Guinea were taken into custody. While the wife was bonded out of jail, Rivero remained in jail for the murder charge.

Meanwhile, Rivero’s attorney is trying to bail his client out. The case was ongoing.

In a similar incident in February, an Iowa couple was accused of sexually assaulting a relative and her friend. The victim said Justin David Garfield, 39, and Rosa Fabiola Garfield, 36, got her and her friend, 13, to their home. They then took the teens to their bedroom and assaulted them. The victim said David took her to hotels for several years post the initial assault, telling her he would teach her about sex.

While the husband and wife were charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, David was also charged with third-degree sexual abuse for continuing a sexual relationship with the teen, the Des Moines Register reported.
