Marvel fans have plenty to look forward to in 2019. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding, and fans will finally get to see the result of the shocking end of “Avengers: Infinity War.”

“Captain Marvel” (March 8) Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) makes her debut as a human turned into a Kree warrior, but she doesn’t seem to fully remember her life on earth. Set in the 1990s, it looks like young S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) will help Carol figure out what her life was like before she got her superpowers. Annette Bening, Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Gemma Chan and Clark Gregg also star.

“Avengers: Endgame” (April 26) The follow-up to “Avengers: Infinity War” will deal with the after effects of Thanos’ snap. The trailer revealed that Iron Man/Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) is dying in space while Captain America/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) are trying to find a way to save their friends.

Hawkeye/Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) will also make his return in this movie as Ronin. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) will be around too, meaning this “Avengers” movie will focus on the original team from the 2012 flick.

“Spider-Man: Far From Home” (July 5) The first post-“Avengers: Endgame” MCU movie is the Spider-Man sequel, which is a pretty clear indicator that Spidey survives. The “Homecoming” sequel will take Peter Parker to Europe. He’ll team up with Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhal), who will be portrayed as a hero at first, at the request of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Together, they’ll take on the Elementals, millennia-old beings who want to take over the world.

Marvel Studios has nothing confirmed after this year’s MCU lineup. They want to avoid “Endgame” spoilers, leaving audiences to wonder which characters will really survive the epic conclusion. However, it’s tough to keep a secret in Hollywood. A Black Widow solo movie has a writer and director while a Doctor Strange sequel is also reportedly in the works. “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3,” however, has been put on hold indefinitely.
