  • He tried to kiss a female student, 14
  • Still unclear if he knew the victim

A Maryland man entered a high school in Columbia and attempted to kiss a 14-year-old female student on Friday afternoon.

In a Washington Times article, Howard County Police Department reported on Monday that they arrested Colby Christopher Johnson, 20, after he fled from Hammond High School after he grabbed the underage student and tried to kiss her.

The police identified the suspect after reviewing a school security video and he was charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree sex offense and disturbing school operations.

The victim was unharmed and it is still unclear whether Johnson knew her.

The offender was held in custody without bond and it is unclear whether he has an attorney who can speak on his behalf.
