Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell have reconciled months after their split.

The "Bachelor" stars decided to give their romance another try. According to an insider, they decided to be together again, but James is feeling the pressure of setting a good example for other Black men following Kirkconnell's controversy.

"They are back together, but Matt is hesitant to publicly and outrightly confirm it right now because it’s still fresh and they still have issues to work through," a source told Page Six.

"Rachael already faced scrutiny for her past, and now all eyes have shifted to Matt, so he’s feeling pressure to set a good example for other black men."

James knows that he is happy to be with Kirkconnell. However, he isn't sure about the people's reception, so he is having second thoughts on publicizing their rekindled romance.

"He’s aware that people are not going to be happy that he jumped back into a relationship with Rachael so soon," the tipster added. "So while he is happy to have her in his life again, he is not ready to scream it from the rooftops yet."

In a recent interview with WSJ. Magazine, James explained why they give their relationship another shot following the racism controversy involving Kirkconnell.

"I think the best way to put it is that we can have critical conversations about being in this relationship and what I need in a partner — especially if that woman isn't Black — [is] to understand what comes with me and my life and being Black," James explained.

"It's on people who care about being allies to do the work to be truly antiracist. And I think it's unfair to leave people without the ability to unlearn and be better," he added.

James didn't hide that Kirkconnell's racist photos were "incredibly disappointing." In fact, he found the situation "devastating and heartbreaking" because he had given his final rose to her and thought of building a life with her.

Kirkconnell allegedly bullied people in high school for liking Black men. Photos of her attending an "Old South" Antebellum-themed party also resurfaced online. Many found the shots troubling and painful due to the racist history of the Antebellum South, Cosmopolitan reported.

Following their reconciliation, an insider told E! News that they are "in a great place right now."

"Matt and Rachael talk every day and have seen each other multiple times in the last few weeks," the insider added. "They reconnected while spending a whole week together in the O.C."
