Since the birth of baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appear to have the perfect family. However, before she became the Duchess of Sussex, the 37-year-old dated several boys.

During her teenage years, Meghan became one of the most popular girls in high school due to her kindness and relationships with her male peers.

In the book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess,” Andrew Morton claimed Meghan caught the eye of “several boys” during an audition for a school play. However, she chose to enter into an exclusive relationship with one guy in particular at St Francis High School in California.

“While she was the only girl from Immaculate Heart to audition, she had star status at the all-boys school. She had already dated several pupils from St Francis, including her first long-term boyfriend Luis Segura,” the royal biographer wrote.

“In time-honored fashion, it was his sister Maria who set them up on their first date, the couple seeing one another regularly for nearly two years.”

Morton revealed Meghan’s close relationship with her boyfriend’s family allowed her to expand her social circle, and secure her spot as homecoming queen.

“She got to know the Segura family well, including Luis’ younger brother Danny, who played Creon in Oedipus Rex and always credits Meghan – who was then 16 – with encouraging him to take to the stage,” the royal expert shared.

Meghan’s school drama director told Morton the production of “Oedipus Rex” sold out and was attended by several of the star’s admirers. “Quite a lot of the pupils went to see the show just to see Meghan. She certainly had a fan club. Quite a few of the boys had crushes on her,” he told the author.

Although Meghan was popular in high school, her level of fame nowadays outweighs the “star staus” she once held during her teenage years.
