KEY POINTS

  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are fools to think they could regain their privacy soon
  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won't get their privacy back after Megxit
  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be tracked for the rest of their lives

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly wrong to think that they will be able to regain their privacy after leaving the royal family.

In the ABC documentary “Royal Divide: Harry, Meghan, and the Crown,” news contributor Larry Hackett said that it is more likely for the royal couple to see public attention growing worse after their exit becomes official on March 31.

“They chased Diana to get a picture of Diana in her current emotional mood. That’s what’s going to go on with Meghan. The idea that somehow, by stepping back from the Royal Family, they are going to regain control of their privacy is, tragically, a fool’s errand. It’s just not going to happen. In fact, it’s going to get worse,” Hackett said.

ABC News foreign correspondent James Longman supported Hackett’s statement by saying that Prince Harry and Markle will be tracked for the rest of their lives regardless if they are senior royals or not.

“At every single moment in their lives, whether it’s the first major commercial deal or their next child, every single moment will be tracked,” he said.

When Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to quit their royal duties, the former said that one of the reasons has to do with their privacy and the privacy of their son, Archie.

According to TMZ, another reason for Megxit has to do with the constant criticisms that Markle received throughout the past couple of months leading up to the day of their announcement.

In fact, the criticisms have become so bad that they started involving Archie. Markle was accused of being overprotective of her son. The Duchess of Sussex was also slammed for keeping the details of Archie’s christening private, including the names of his godparents.

Markle didn’t also share christening photos of Archie until after the event ended. And the photos only featured Prince Harry and Markle’s immediate family.
