Apparently, Meghan Markle made quite the impression on Britain’s royal family before marrying Prince Harry last spring.

In May 2018, it was reported by the Daily Mail that in the months leading up their May 19 wedding, there was a “remarkable thawing” in the “frosty” relationship” between Charles and and his youngest son Harry, with Meghan to thank for their progress.

“...Meghan has brought with her a new and unexpected dynamic, and not just because she, too, has grown up negotiating a fractured family,” the outlet reported at the time.

The outlet said that it was likely Meghan’s relationship with the next in line to the throne helped ease the tension between father and son.

“Meghan met Charles and was bowled over by his charm,” a family source said. “She told Harry he was wonderful: welcoming, warm, hard-working kind and stable. She made it clear that he should appreciate him and bond more.”

The feeling, apparently, was mutual. The outlet said Prince Charles with “taken” with Meghan, now the Duchess of Sussex. As a result, it created “a sort of mega-watt warming effect” for the family, said the source.
