Meghan Markle appeared to be more comfortable than Kate Middleton during their Christmas Day walk.

On Tuesday, the royal family made their annual Christmas Day service. The fab four were seen together amid their rumored rift. The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex were all smiles and were even seen chatting despite the reports that they have a ghastly row.

Melita Latham, stylist and owner of luxury travel brand Melita Latham, noticed the big difference in the former actress compared to her appearance last year. She finds the pregnant royal “more comfortable” this time. According to the fashion designer, based on the two duchesses’ outfits, Markle looked more relaxed in her surroundings than her sister-in-law.

“Indeed she appears to be more comfortable in these surroundings than Kate, but then Meghan has spent most of her life under the limelight,” Latham explained.

She also found Markle’s choice of wardrobe to be perfect. Latham was convinced that there’s no better outfit for the Duchess of Sussex for the said outing.

“In choosing her VB ensemble, Meghan has succeeded in showing that she can exist as herself within the bubble, but also she has arrived at a rather formal occasion, looking appropriate but also at ease and casual,” Latham explained.

“I couldn't imagine a more perfect outfit,” she added.

On the other hand, body language expert Judi James noticed how the Duchess of Cambridge exerted more effort during her friendly public reunion with Markle. However, she felt that the fab four only displayed a united front for the cameras.

Based on her observations, they were slightly rigid and their smiles looked forced even though Middleton and Markle also used eye contact and broad smiles to suggest happiness.

In one shot, Middleton is seen raising a hand to chat with Markle with a slightly suppressed smile, suggesting that they were sharing a joke. However, while the two duchesses were making an effort to appear friendly, their husbands didn’t do the same.

Prince William and Prince Harry were very distant to each other. They weren’t photographed looking, chatting or smiling toward each other. According to James, the royal brothers looked “ill at ease.”
