Meghan Markle has been warned to not close her car door on her own due to a shocking reason.

Royal protection cops said that the Duchess of Sussex should not try to close her car door on her own after exiting her vehicle due to the ongoing extremist attack threats. Cars used by the members of the royal family have self-locking door systems.

In case an emergency happens and Markle closes the car door behind her, it might be impossible for her to go back into the vehicle as quickly as possible.

“Nothing is more important to these guys than protecting the Royal Family. Meghan and Harry like to meet the public as much as possible and make contact with the crowds that come to see them,” Dan Sales, a journalist for The Sun, quoted a source.

The source added that once the car door is locked, it would be difficult for Markle to return to safety in case of an emergency. In September, Prince Harry’s wife was seen closing the car door behind her when she arrived at London’s Royal Academy of Arts.

Markle’s surprising move to close her own car door received a slew of praises from social media users and some royal reporters. Rebecca English, a royal reporter, uploaded a video of Markle getting out of a vehicle and praised her for closing her own car door.

“First time I’ve seen an on-duty princess shut her own car door,” one royal fan tweeted. “I had to smile – Meghan is closing the door of that car herself – you know she’s still used to doing that…” another person commented.

One month later, Markle no longer closed car door after she stepped out in public during her trip to Auckland, New Zealand. It is possible that Markle was already told to not close her own car door just like the other members of the royal family.

The revelation came amid Prince Philip’s recent car accident and after it was also claimed that the seatbelt alarms from his Land Rover were disabled. However, this report has not been confirmed by the palace.
