Meghan Markle’s friend reminded her that she can’t “have it both ways.”

The Duchess of Sussex has faced a slew of criticism due to her inconsistencies. Her friend Lizzie Cundy appeared on Jeremy Vine’s show and she shared how Markle behaves inconsistently as a royal.

“I think Meghan Markle wants it both ways. She has asked for privacy. And the next thing you see is her at a basketball match lifting up little outfits for Archie. Then she is editing magazines,” Cundy said.

“I just think you can’t have it both ways. You can’t take £2.4million of taxpayers money to do up their cottage, it rubs people up the wrong way.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been criticized for their efforts to keep Archie’s details from the public. Prince Harry announced before Markle’s delivery that her pregnancy plans would be kept private until after they have enough time to celebrate their baby’s arrival as a family.

The people were furious because the taxpayers paid for the renovation of their new home, Frogmore Cottage, but then they live as if they are private individuals. Making matters worse, Prince Harry and Markle opted to make Archie’s baptism private and unlike Prince William and Kate Middleton, they didn’t share the list of names of their baby’s godparents.

One netizen said that Prince Harry and Markle could live privately if they want to. However, they should not rely on public funding.

Markle was also slammed for throwing shade at the Duchess of Cambridge when she turned down the offer to grace the cover of Vogue magazine. According to Markle, she didn’t want to appear on the cover because it would be “boastful.” Middleton graced the cover of the magazine three years ago for its centenary cover.

Commentator Carole Malone called Markle a “hypocrite” for her statement because she also appeared on magazine covers in the past.

“I think that’s hypocrisy on a grand scale. She has been on covers of big magazines as well, she was on the cover just before she was married,” Malone said.

Meanwhile, Markle’s half-sister, Samantha, said that she was “shameful” and a “disgrace to the Markle family name.” She also questioned the Duchess of Sussex’s humanitarian efforts because of her “coldhearted treatment” to her family.
