Melania Trump broke her month-long silence on Twitter on Independence Day.

The former first lady returned to the micro-blogging site to share a message with everyone as the country celebrates Fourth of July. Trump shared a brief message on Twitter wishing everyone a "safe and happy" holiday.

"Wishing everyone a safe and happy Independence Day!" she tweeted with the U.S. flag emoji.

Several commented on Trump's message with many saying they missed her. Many also thanked Trump for remembering them on Independence Day.

"What a great role model and beautiful first lady! By far the most graceful of all time. May you be blessed for all you have ensured and sacrificed for the American people. Happy independence day! You make America great," one commented.

"Thank you [Melania] for being such a wonderful first lady of the White House and we miss you and we miss Donald we really hope that you guys are able to come back and take control of this country and save our country and support all the true patriots and our military," a second user added.

"Happy Independence Day to you and to all Americans who love their country and its history. I may not always agree with the USA and your foreign policy might have triggered me many times but the declaration of Independence is and will always be my favorite historical document," a third netizen wrote.

"Thank you Mrs Trump. You were the best first lady," a fourth added.

Meanwhile, some said it was the best Independence Day because it's the first after the Trumps had left the White House.

"Best July 4th in 5 years!!!" one wrote.

"Thank you! It is already the best one since 2016," another critic stated.

"Thank you! So far this is the best Independence Day weekend since the Bidens took office," a third commented.

"Time for you to fade from view completely. We are safer now than we were last year," a fourth netizen added.
