Melania Trump has been known for working along with numerous campaigns and advocacies that focus on children and youth. The First Lady of the United States even launched an initiative called the “Be Best” campaign on May 7, 2018, which concentrates on three pillars: opioid abuse, general well-being, and online safety. Despite this, the wife of President Donald Trump continues to get hate and criticisms from her detractors.

Recently, netizens lambasted Melania again after she shared her excitement over the National PTA Legislative Conference. The FLOTUS will speak to PTA leaders and advocates from across the United States, Tuesday. “Looking forward to speaking at the National #PTALegCon tomorrow to discuss the importance of empowering families and communities to advocate for issues that impact our nation’s youth. #BeBest,” Barron Trump’s mom wrote on Twitter.

The said post was met with criticisms online. “That was tacky and uncalled for!!!!!!” Linda Barrow said in the comment section. “In my area, my PTA’s are usually found in public schools, when PTO’s are used at our charter schools and private schools. This is interesting to me that you would speak at a nonprofit conference to an organization trying to save public schools while your husband destroys them,” a netizen penned. “There’s still kids in cages but you don’t care, right?” Terri Fagan added.

“She has done nothing for the USA,” Noreen Sharp stated. “Are you going to tell them how to fake a college degree?” another Twitter user commented to Melania Trump’s post. “How much do you have to pay the participants so they'll show up and not laugh? Susan Kohi said. “WE DO NOT NEED ANY ATTENTION GETTING PUBLIC APPEARANCES FROM YOU...YOUR FAMILY SHOULD RELEASE THOSE BACK TAXES GOING BACK 7 YEARS FOR EXAMINATIONS,” a seventh netizen wrote.

Melania Trump has yet to comment on these harsh remarks. However, avid followers of the FLOTUS have nothing but love for her and her work. “Keep up the fabulous job you are doing for children and their families!” one supporter stated. “@FLOTUS Good Afternoon! Hope you and @realDonaldTrump had a nice weekend in Florida _ Prayers you, your @WhiteHouse team, @SecretService and @USMC/@usairforce crew have a safe trip back home to Washington DC...God Bless #BeBest #HelpingOthers,” Jon Kinsley wrote. “Thank you so much! Probably the greatest thing we can do for our children is to teach them how our Constitution guarantees them their God-given rights. God bless you & your amazing family!” Joy Spragens went on.

Meanwhile, Politico reported that Melania Trump decided to cancel a fundraiser event in California amid the growing concern about the coronavirus. White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham broke the news and said the decision was due to the conflict in the FLOTUS’ schedules. The stepmother of Ivanka Trump is also expected to hold a fundraiser event at President Donald’s Mar-a-Lago resort on Mar. 25.
