Melania Trump did everything she could to ensure that the election night party for her husband, former President Donald Trump, won't happen at the White House, a book has claimed.

The former first lady was reportedly not comfortable having the election night party at the White House in November due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, she rejected Chief of Staff Mark Meadows' request to use the president's residence three times, according to Michael C. Bender in his new book "Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost." However, it was a battle where the ex-FLOTUS eventually lost.

Nine days before the Election Day, Meadows went back to Melania and explained why the White House was the best option. Initially, the original location was Trump International Hotel, but it was restricted by local regulations.

"I'm not comfortable with it," Melania was quoted by People as telling Meadows, according to the book.

Timothy Harleth, the White House chief usher, and Stephanie Grisham, Trump's former spokeswoman, both confirmed Melania's feelings toward the event. They also warned her about the potential duration of the party.

Melania's main concern was that she, her husband, and their son, Barron, all tested positive for COVID-19 in the fall of 2020. She allegedly doubled down on her stand to not have the party at the White House.

"Win or lose, there are going to be protests that night," Melania said, according to the book. "Are we going to end up with a 300-person slumber party at the White House if these people can't get out?"

However, when Melania rejected the proposition for the fourth time, Meadows reportedly took his request to Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, who brought the issue to the attention of the ex-POTUS.

Four days before the election, Trump called Melania from Air Force One. When Trump told Melania about the night party at the White House, she did not argue with him, Bender revealed. Instead, she decided to just isolate herself and their son, Barron, from the crowd."This is your night — do what you're going to do," Melania told her husband. "You're going to do it anyway."

"She would stay in the residence with Barron and her parents, and only come if Trump needed her to stand next to him for a public speech," Bender added.

Melania is very protective of her child. The mother and son were last spotted together in New York City as they were leaving the Trump Tower. The netizens immediately noticed Barron's height because he was towering over his mom. Melania and Trump's son is only 15 years old but stands 6 feet and 7 inches tall.
