Former United States Vice President Mike Pence commented on the 1973 Roe v Wade case which legalized abortions in the country, asking the Supreme Court to repeal the verdict.

The Republican politician is hopeful that younger citizens are beginning to support the anti-abortion movement.

“Life is winning in America, but now we need life to win in the highest court in the land,” he said. “I’m very hopeful and I do believe that Roe v. Wade will be overturned whether it’s now or in the future.”

Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen believes that if the Supreme Court revokes the historic verdict in Roe v. Wade it could cause people to revolt, as she thinks "that will not be acceptable to young women or young men.”

“I hope the Supreme Court is listening to the people of the United States... I think if you want to see a revolution go ahead, outlaw Roe v. Wade and see what the response is of the public, particularly young people,” she said.

The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments regarding the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case on Wednesday. The case focuses on a law in Mississippi that prohibits women from getting abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

"Americans are ready for an end to the judicial tyranny of Roe v Wade," Pence added.
