“Modern Family” Season 8 will introduce a new character named Coach Gary who will be played by Peyton Manning.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Coach Gary will work closely with Gloria (Sofia Vergara) when she hires the former to teach Joe (Jeremy Maguire) how to throw and catch a ball. Gloria and Gary’s close bond will result in him helping her with the chores around the house. This will lead to Jay (Ed O’Neill) feeling emasculated. As of late, it is still unclear when Manning’s episode will air on “Modern Family” Season 8.

Meanwhile, the retired NFL quarterback and funnyman isn’t the only one guesting in the hit ABC sitcom. Just recently, the same publication confirmed that actor Kelsey Grammer will be joining the cast in one episode this coming January. Grammer will play the role of Cam’s (Eric Stonestreet) ex-boyfriend. Since they were together for quite some time, Keifth and Cam know each other very well. This could result in some tension between Cam and his current partner, Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson).

The upcoming episode of “Modern Family” Season 8 will see Phil (Ty Burrell) contemplating on signing up to be a member of Jay’s favorite refuge. In the teaser released by ABC for “Grab It,” Phil and Jay appear to be arguing with each other. By the looks of it, Jay will play a trick on his son-in-law that Phil won’t like. Elsewhere, Claire (Julie Bowen) will come to realize that she doesn’t really know what influence she has on her daughter, Alex (Ariel Winter).

Cam will also be involved in a play, but he will have a difficult time telling Mitchell what it’s really about. In one of the photos from Season 8, episode 6 (via Spoilers Guide), Cam and Mitchell are lying down on the floor with a mop on Mitchell’s side. It seems like this has something to do with Cam’s play.

“Modern Family” Season 8, episode 6 will air on ABC on Nov. 9 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
