“Nashville” fans just want Deacon (Charles Esten) and Rayna (Connie Britton) to get together, but things are never easy for the couple. Even though Luke (Will Chase) is out of the way, Deacon’s liver cancer is making their relationship difficult in Season 3. Deacon won’t tell Rayna about his condition, but that didn’t affect their romantic relationship because Rayna didn’t want to get back together yet anyway. But has the country star changed her mind?

“Although Deacon's health is deteriorating fast, there's hope for these two to finally reconcile… if only Deacon can bring himself to tell Rayna about his health problems,” E! Online teases.

That “hope” might mean that Rayna has finally decided that she is ready to be with Deacon. After she broke up with Luke, she told Deacon that she needed some time on her own. However, Deacon told Scarlett (Clare Bowen) that he couldn’t tell Rayna about his cancer. Secrets between these two never go over well, so it seemed like Deacon's illness would keep them apart. Yet, it looks like they won't be separated for much longer.

In the promo for episode 15 of “Nashville” it looks like the two will finally get back together. The promo claims the episode will show “the reunion millions of fans have been waiting for.” Assuming that Deacon isn’t going to start off their relationship with a major lie, reconciliation likely means that Rayna will learn about Deacon’s cancer.

After the midseason finale, showrunner Dee Johnson said that Deacon wouldn’t be able to hide his diagnosis for long. “Let’s just say: He can’t keep that genie in a bottle for too long,” Johnson told TV Line. “He’s gonna try, though. Because I think that he feels that it’s almost karmic in a weird way, that it’s as a result of some stuff he did at an earlier time in his life. Whether or not that’s true, he certainly believes it. And the last thing he wants is any kind of a pity party.”

Recently, Deacon has given up on feeling sorry for himself and become more proactive about finding a way to survive. Hopefully, that means telling Rayna the truth so they can finally get back together. E! Online also gave fans more reason to be hopeful. “But you know the saying ‘when it rains it pours?’ Deacon's about to find out that's extremely true about good luck,” E! Online teased.

A reunion would be lucky for both Rayna and Deacon. If Deacon is the only one feeling the good fortune, that might mean that Deacon has found a match for his liver transplant. If he tells Rayna his secret, Rayna and their daughter Maddie (Lennon Stella) could both get tested to see if one of them is a match.

“Nashville” Season 3, episode 15, airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST on ABC. Do you think Deacon will finally tell Rayna that he is sick? Could Rayna or Maddie be a transplant match? Sound off in the comments section below!
