Due to our busy schedules, we often forget to celebrate our spouses and their immense support and contribution in our lives. If you are one of those people who forget special anniversaries, fret not, here is your chance to make up for it.

Thursday is National Spouses Day, an unofficial holiday celebrated annually on Jan. 26.

According to the Census Bureau, more than two million people get married in the United States every year and 17 percent of the total population say “I do” more than once with about 170,000 American couples belonging to the same sex.

No matter which category you fall into, celebrating National Spouses Day should be more about letting your special someone know they are loved, appreciated and cared for.

So, in addition to sending gifts, flowers, and chocolates and spending time with them, go through this list of famous quotes courtesy of Goodreads and Happy Wives’ Club about love and married life, which will only help strengthen your bond with your soulmate.
