A total of 37 states, plus the District of Colombia, offer the option to register online. Oklahoma has also passed online registration legislation, but not yet implemented the bill. Here's a link that will show which states offer online registration.

A total of 21 states plus D.C. also offer same-day registration, which allows citizens to register and cast a ballot all in one day. Here's a list of states that offer this option. Citizens will need to present a voter ID and proof of residency in the state they are voting in.

Some states require voter ID to include a photo, while others do not. Here's a link with a list of states and what type of ID they require.

Citizens are eligible to vote if they are at least 18 years old and if they meet the residency requirements of their state.

There will be gubernatorial and legislative elections in some states on Nov. 5. The 2020 U.S. presidential election is set for Nov. 3, 2020, with Democratic primaries beginning in Iowa on Feb. 3.
