A case in “NCIS” Season 14, episode 18 gets personal for agent Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). CBS

CBS series “NCIS” premiered a shocking episode last week. In Season 14, episode 17, a robber broke into McGee’s (Sean Murray) apartment in order to locate an item of great value. Little did the agent know that a convicted criminal once lived in his house and he hid a dead body under his and Delilah’s (Margo Harshman) bed. Yikes.

Fortunately, the mummy under his bed lead them to a stash of missing diamonds. What will happen this week on the long-running crime procedural?

In “NCIS” Season 14, episode 18, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will honor a sailor’s dying wish by reopening a closed case, according to the synopsis on TVGuide. The team reinvestigates a case that was ruled as an accidental death. However, the agents quickly realize that the death wasn’t an accidental one, the victim was, in fact, murdered.

This case opens up old wounds in agent Nicholas/Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). The investigation will remind the former undercover operative of a tragic time in his past.

Of course, you can count on Gibbs to keep a check on Torres. He has been a constant father figure to the team so expect the leader to step up and help the newbie. The upcoming episode is titled “M.I.A.”

While Torres deals with his past, the team will be busy training for a marathon, according to an article on the CBS website.

The promo of episode 18 gives a glimpse of the action-packed hour that is in store for “NCIS” fans. McGee does an impressive sprint in order to catch someone. “Very impressive sprint,” Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) compliments her colleague.

However, the video shows that things between Gibbs and Torres takes a bad turn. Tension soar as the case gets personal for him and Gibbs has to remind him of his duty.

“NCIS” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
