“Hyper Scape,” the free-to-play battle royale shooter from Ubisoft, is already the most watch game on Twitch with approximately 500,000 viewers.

Dubbed “the first battle royale exclusively for Twitch,” Ubisoft officially launched “Hyper Scape” following a set of teasers from earlier in the week. The game allows viewers to vote for in-game events and view player stats right from their browsers, reports Video Games Chronicle.

On a technical held on Thursday, the publisher of “Far Cry” and “Assassin’s Creed” granted access via Twitch Drops for watching streams of “Hyper Scape.” Ubisoft invited hundreds of streamers and players to debut “Hyper Scape” on their respective platforms similar to what happened during the successful launches of “Apex Legends” and “Valorant” to resounding success.

Ubisoft says “Hyper Scape” is a “100% urban battle royale” and players will explore Neo Arcadia's streets and rooftops for intense firefights, cat-and-mouse chases, and unprecedented verticality. Solo or in a squad, in the streets or on rooftops, you can loot unique weapons and rule-bending Hacks to define your playstyle in the game.

“Hyper Scape” also tasks you to escape the Decay that dissolves city districts, adapt to random game-changing effects, and fight to be the last one standing, or take the Crown and claim victory. Three-player squads and solo players dive into the futuristic virtual city environment while a steady flow of customization options, new gameplay opportunities, and map changes keep the action fresh, season after season.

Hacks, or abilities that players can loot in the world and which grant offensive and defensive capabilities such as laying down a mine, seeking an enemy, protecting the squad with a big wall or turning invisible, are also part of the “Hyper Scape” experience. All Hacks and weapons can be upgraded.

At the end of a Hyper Scape match, the showdown phase starts when the Hyper Scape crown spawns on the map. Players have two different ways to claim victory, either by picking up and carrying the crown for 45 seconds or by being the last player or squad standing, notes Video Games Chronicle.

According to an earlier report, the game will launch for both PC and consoles, with the latter set to arrive later this year and support cross-platform play. Hyper Scape is expected to enter open beta on July 12.
