If the Nexus 5 is released within the next day, one huge question may remain: Why didn’t Google host a big unveiling event for its latest device as it has done for so many others? There is no indication of what Google has planned for the Nexus 5 unveiling. Will here be an impromptu event, which has been kept secret from the public? Will the Nexus 5 just suddenly show up on the Google Play Store? No one really knows.

The Nexus 5 will likelly be powered by the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Despite many expecting Android 4.4 to be a minor update, such rumored features as compatibility with wearable devices, low-end devices and smart TVs may be included -- all features worthy of a Google-style demonstration.

In addition, the Nexus 5 is expected to include such specs as a 4.95-inch 1920×1080 display protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3, a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB internal storage options, an 8-megapixel main camera featuring optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 1.3-megapixel front camera, connectivity including Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) 802.11 a/b/g/n/nc, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0, and the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. We consider Google would at least want to show off the supposed OIS- enabled camera on the Nexus 5, especially after its recent Google + event which focused on the various photography based updates to its social media platform.

Android Police has been tipped that the Nexus 5 may be available on the Google Play Store on Thursday at 11 a.m. PDT (2 p.m. EDT). Notably, a Nexus 5 splash page recently leaked onto the Google Play Store randomly. Perhaps Google was preparing us for the actual Nexus 5 Launch? We should know in a matter of hours.
