• "One Piece" 971 will arrive on Feb. 16
  • The upcoming chapter of "One Piece" might show Oden using his trump card against Kaido and Orochi
  • "One Piece" Chapter 971 might show the fire at Kuri Castle

"One Piece" Chapter 970 revealed that Oden and the Akazaya Nine could have won the battle for Wano's freedom had Kaido fought fairly. The previous chapter already revealed that the Daimyo of Wano and his retainers would be executed in three days. But, it looks like a lot of things are going to happen in "One Piece" Chapter 971 before fans could see Oden's execution.

Oden's Trump Card Against Orochi And Kaido

In "One Piece" Zou Arc, fans learned that it was the Kozukis who made the stone poneglyphs, which bear the history of the world, including the period of Void. Oden is the last remaining Kozuki who knows how to read the legendary stones that could lead the pirates to "One Piece." This knowledge is also Oden's trump card against Kaido and Orochi.

The Daimyo of Wano may know that Kaido would like to have what he possesses for his future ambitions or plans. Perhaps Oden would make a deal with Orochi and Kaido to give them the information that they want in exchange for the freedom of his retainers. And that he would tell them all that they need on the day of his execution.

Fire at Kuri Castle

Oden might trick Kaido and Orochi, and on the day of his execution, he would refuse to tell them the secrets that they want to know. Because of this, Kaido would seek Lady Toki at the Kuri Castle or would look for Oden's diary in the hope that he could learn something from it. Frustrated and disappointed, Kaido, upon learning that there's nothing at the Kuri Castle, would burn it to the ground.

"One Piece" Chapter 971 might also reveal the traitor in Oden's camp. Additionally, it could show the key personalities who were instrumental in helping the Akazaya Nine escape their imminent execution.

"One Piece" Chapter 971 would be delayed. The chapter will drop on Feb. 16 in Japan. It is possible that the flashback to Oden's story would continue until Chapter 972, considering that there are still a lot of grounds left uncovered.
